Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
OkCircle is built privacy-first: it exists so you can share less, not more. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do.
What we collect
- Account. You sign in with Apple. We store your Apple-provided user identifier and the display name you choose. We never see your password.
- Statuses. The check-ins you post (e.g. “I’m OK”), with a timestamp and — only if you allow it — an approximate area of roughly 2 km. We never collect a street address or continuous location, and location is read only at the moment you post a status.
- Circles. The circles you create or join, their member lists, messages you send in a circle, and invites you create (optionally with a name, email, or phone you enter for the invitee).
- Device tokens. If you allow notifications, a push token so we can deliver alerts and check-in requests.
What we never do
- No continuous location tracking — ever.
- No selling or sharing your data with advertisers.
- No public profiles. Your status is visible only to members of the circles you join.
Who can see your data
Your statuses, area, and profile are visible only to members of the circles you belong to, enforced at the database level (row-level security). Invite links show the circle name and inviter name to the person holding the link.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase (hosted on AWS, EU region eu-central-1) and protected in transit with TLS. Push notifications are delivered through Apple’s notification service.
Your choices
- Location sharing and notifications are optional and can be toggled any time in Settings.
- You can leave a circle at any time; your statuses stop being visible to it.
- You can delete your account from Settings, which removes your profile and personal data. For help, contact us at hello@fil.technology.
Children
OkCircle is designed for families, but accounts must be created in accordance with the App Store age rating and your local age of digital consent.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we’ll note it here and update the date above.
